I have never really been that close with my bio sibling, probably now more than ever but that doesn't say much, but now I have like 42 siblings in law, and really, siblings put too much pressure on one another, I think. Just because you are in the same family doesn't mean you'll have one damn thing in common.

For me, talking to my brother conjures up images I don't want to see, and so we talk about work (me) and school (him) and our spouses and five minutes later we are done. It works, it keeps us friends. And we roll our eyes at each other when our parents say something weird. But beyond that, we just kind of pretend we met in our twenties or something. At least I do. Much less painful.
